The company BADEL 1862 as a leader in the production and marketing of strong alcoholic beverages and wine. We are especially proud of the quality of long-term brands that reflect the long tradition of production and cultural heritage of Croatia translated into top quality products that Badel markets and that bring a positive atmosphere to social occasions, moments of relaxation, enjoyment, gatherings and celebrations. But at the same time, we are well aware of the dangers and social consequences of excessive alcohol consumption and abuse. Neither extreme is good.

Excessive alcohol consumption harms individuals, their families, the community in which they function and us as responsible producers. In short, alcoholism is a bad habit. As a responsible company, we have decided to take a responsible and active role in society. We want consumers to enjoy controlled quantities, on special occasions, and not get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol. We unreservedly support all preventive programs developed to prevent alcohol abuse. Badel 1862, in accordance with its slogan “Drink a little, drink well”, has been promoting the responsible enjoyment of quality alcoholic beverages among its consumers for many years. With the aforementioned initiative, Croatia joined other European countries that promote and advocate responsible consumption of alcohol.

With the aim of raising the level of awareness and knowledge about the influence of alcohol, HUP – Coordination of producers, retailers and distributors of strong alcoholic beverages, of which Badel 1862 is an active member, developed the educational e-training “I serve responsibly” intended for the hospitality sector. “I serve responsibly” is part of an educational campaign aimed at preventing underage alcohol consumption, pointing out the importance of moderate and responsible alcohol consumption by adults, but also promoting catering establishments that respect the principles of responsible sale and serving of alcohol. The project was supported by the Croatian Association of Tourism, the Croatian Chamber of Crafts, HUP – Hospitality and Tourism Association and the Croatian Association of Hotel Entrepreneurs.
